Making chicken pho is actually very simple, perfect for your first taste of this hot, savory noodle soup with tender meat and aromatic spices. Follow this easy recipe to enjoy a bowl of comforting pho at home!


Ingredients:
- Half a chicken (around 500g - 700g)
- 1 pho seasoning cube (You can buy it at Asian Shops)
- Fish sauce
- Pho noodles
- 1 onion
- 3 red chilies
- Spring onions
- Lemon

Prepare the ingredients:
- Chicken: Clean half a chicken; cut it into two parts for easier cooking.
- Onion: Halve the onion and grill it on the stove or in the oven for a smoky aroma.
- Chili: Slice the red chilies thinly.
- Spring onions: Chop finely for garnish and flavor.

Cook the broth:
- Place the chicken in a pot, add water to cover the chicken completely, bring to a boil, then reduce to low heat and simmer until the chicken is tender.
- Add the grilled onion and chicken bouillon cube to the pot. Simmer for about 20-30 minutes.
- Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the pot and let it cool. Shred the chicken into bite-sized pieces.

Cook the noodles:
- Boil the pho noodles in hot water for 3-5 minutes, then drain and set aside.

- Place the pho noodles in a bowl, add the shredded chicken on top.
- Pour the hot broth over the noodles and chicken.
- Garnish with chopped spring onions, lemon, sliced red chili and fish sauce for added flavor and decoration.

Tips:
- To enhance the broth’s flavor, you can grill some ginger and cinnamon and add them to the pot.
- Adjust the seasoning to your taste with fish sauce or more chili.
